This particular COLT "M16A1" Roll Marked Machine Gun is another example of the Transitional Prototype Configurations that were part of a *former senior Colt executives collection. This example has the evaluation/reference tags and stickers still attached. Interesting developmental stage for this Colt M16A1 machine gun. There were several modifications seen here that made their way to the M16A2 platform. A unique piece of history for the Colt M16A2 development!
