Lee, Henry (1756-1818) also known as Light-Horse Lee, was a Revolutionary War hero who served as the ninth Governor of Virginia and as the Virginia Representative to the United State Congress. During the American Revolution, Lee served as a Calvary officer in the Continental Army and earned the nickname "Light-Horse Harry". Henry lee was the father of Confederate General Robert E. Lee. Partially Printed Document Signed, "Henry Lee" on a 15" x 12," being a land grant issued at Richmond, March 20, 1790, issued to John Anderson and James Jarret. The document retains the seal, the manuscript slightly light, yes the signature is dark and bold. Framed in VGC.
